don't buy heatpipe mobo with lian li case that is in the like fake btx setup. i used heatpipe mobo in my new lian li case which flips the mobo upside down and places it high up in the case, and it overheated constantly. i had to swap it out for DFI board. my rig is in my sig.
i have a lian-li v1200b and an asus a8n-sli premium. the mobo came with a heatpipe but i swapped the heatpipe for a thermalright nb cooler and an asus heatsink for the mosfets close to the cpu. in the stock configuration, i was experiencing overheating every now and then. of course, the system acted pretty flakey at the time since, the heatpipe was replaced, the system has been rock solid.
Ive built 4 lian-li computers with heatpipe motherboards, all used the inverted design. Temps were more than fine, and actually went down on the PC-767 case from the non-inverted case I used before.
