that metal thing in the middle of the first picture came with my friends lian li case. i was building it for him and i have no idea whats it for and where it goes. i went to compusa, best buy, frys electronics, and they all had no idea. i think its for the hard drives but it doesnt fit in the hard drive rack.

That's for you to screw into the hard drive cage in case you prefer to mount your hard drives horizontally instead of vertically.

not mine, im just the messenger. its my clan member's neighbor's case. and he figured it out. its to mount the hard drives viritically in the cage
