Lian-li case question

Hello! I just bought a Lian-li PC6089A case and when I put the hard drive in, I noticed that the mount is about a half inch above the pc speaker. I was wondering if anyone could offer expertise on whether or not the magnetic field at the back of the speaker would in any way jeopardise the integrity of the data. I thought that HDs+magnetism=bad...

Thanks in advance to anyone with insight/info on this! :)

I have used many cases with that sort of setup. I have never had any sort of problems with data coruption using them.

I believe that the magnitic feild on one the thoughs PC speakers is very small. So I don't believe that the feild can reach the HD. But if you want you can always move the speaker to another spot.

This gets asked every so often and I've read that newer hard drives use such focused high-intensity magnetism for their dense platters that a little PC speaker magnet has zero chance of affecting it.

really? This is the first time I saw it. What I did with another case was just move the speakers and stuck it back on using electric tape. It wasn't pretty but who's going to look at it?

Why would someone who feels like that spend the money on a lian li?? aren't cosmetics the ENTIRE reason for buying a lian li?

Nah, the reasons for buying a lian-li tend to be;
Weight
Cooling setup
Ease of use (thumbscrews throughout, tool-less construction, split front-panel connection etc)
Front USB
and Cosmetics, but that's just a bonus for us brushed Aluminium freaks :)
Cosmetics Lovers tend to buy coolermaster.

Yah, aesthetics are a major side of the Lian Li case purchase decision, but it's also the most well-finished case I've ever had.
No edges (all are rolled or covered in a ribbed plastic trim), thumb screws throughout, solid metal everywhere (in lieu of plastic)... It's beautiful! (Oh, and my wife hates it!)

I don't plan on buying a new case for a long time, so I deciced to get something of quality. Not only does it look good, but its extremely high quality.
