I have a lian li PC68 case and i noticed that the fans have power supply connectors (cant think of name). Does anyone cut them off and put connectors on so these fans can be plugged into MB headers? Is that the better choice?

No! Plugging 80mm fans into motherboard headers could possibly fry the header and possibly affect the motherboard. The only reason to plug fans into a mobo header is to monitor the fan rpm. Personally I don't even plug my HSF fan into the header, I plug it into the power supply and use an adapter to plug into the mobo header in order monitor the fan speed. I do the same with the fan monitoring connector from the Enermax PSU.

I have a PC68 also. I did not care for the Adda stock fans so I replaced them with the Enermax manually adjustable. These come with an adaptor so you can run either off of the mb or off the PS. If you want to monitor the rpm you can buy an adpator (or make one) that allows you to do this. Directron.com sells them among others. The enermax adaptor can be modified to do this. Just cut an splace the power wires to the adaptor while leaving the rpm wire intack. BTW you can replace the 80 in back with a 90 and also two 90's will fit up front with some work.
