i have a similarly small lianli case and the temps kinda sux. mine has 2x120mm fans plus an 80mmtop but its so cramped with the PSU over (errr, in front of) the cpu and an 8800gts, pvr card, 3x hdd, etc. idle right now its exhausting 35c air from the side 120mm fan. it has been on for a couple days but hasn't gamed yet.?

Probably when it arrives I will lap my cpu and HS, I replaced the stock fan and all I gained was like 2-4c difference (43ish idle) :| could it be bad contact?

i dunno, i kinda gave up worrying about temps on my c2d. on water, albeit a cheapo setup, i idle ~ 45 and load ~ 55c.

i couldn't fit tower hsf's with my psu placement but i did try 7700cu, 8800cu (?) and the stock, lol and i was in the mid-high 60c's. i lapped the zalmans to no avail.

could be conta ct, have you checked the flatess of the hsf base with a straightedge?
