Li-ion notebook batteries, constant discharge rate ?

Hi,

I have a li-ion battery in my notebook.

It discharges much faster from 100% to 85% than from say 50% to 35%.

Is this normal behaviour.

I thought Li-ion cells had a constant discharge rate.

Thanks.

I think those are going bad..... i had that on battery over 1.5 years old.. charges fast too.. like in 5 min it'll show 100% and when you unplug it, it starts to die.. how old is ur battery?

The computer is just making an educated guess. Also, the amount of power needed to run the computer is not always constant.

I have been using batterymon to check current power usage and its fairly constant..

Intrestingly at 5% and 6% capacity left it lasts twice as long as at any other percentage of capacity.
