[LHC@Home] What's the deal with ATLAS Sim WUs?

I have a couple ATLAS sim 3.03 WUs that seem like they will never end. They are taking up 8 cores each and are around 4 days in, each. Estimated time ran out days ago. Deadline is still 3 days away. Should I abort them?

Is the Windows Task Manager showing an actual CPU utilization by these tasks? Maybe they just sit there waiting e.g. for an unresponsive network connection to LHC's cluster filesystem (that's all hidden from BOINC Client within these VirtualBox VMs), twiddling thumbs until Godot comes by.

Hmmm.....no, but then it doesn't show any utilization by any of the BOINC processes, even though there are 5 Einstein threads running.

The BOINC processes aren't going to show the processes running. You'll need to look for the actual app name. I suggest sorting based on CPU usage to see what's using 21% of the CPU. Chances are those Einstein@home tasks will be up there using them.

Well, they finally flushed out around deadline....no credit showing in the BOINC app stats, but looks like I did in the AT weekly stats.
