LHC for BOINC now officially released.

LHC is a great project. Lets get some more people on the TeAm and take advantage of a small, new project to establish ourselves as the leaders.

This project sound good, except from this:

From the FAQ!

2.4 How and when do I get credit?
Currently at least old Pentiums, new Pentiums and new Athlons seem to give different results. So getting credit from good job is somewhat based on luck. We are working to improve the situation.

This kind of scare me a bit 🙁

Yeah, this project is still in the beta phase so things like that will happen. The good news is that since it runs on BOINC it tends to be very stable and there is a good foundation to improve upon. I see the beta phase as a time to get a jump start on the competition before it really goes out to the public.

AFAIK the validator was changed later on, so this shouldn't be a problem any longer...

It is Cerns 50th anniversary and we are no longer beta. Thank you to all the beta and alpha testers.
You can see a list of the top credited beta testers here: Beta Top.

I joined up let's try this DC project
There is only 1 bad thing D2OL had to go.
I only have 1 processor doing nothing and that time goes to Boinc Seti or Seti classic
and now also to Boinc LHC

We are sorry for not clarifying the credit question earlier. Because all the workunits processed by the beta testers have been of value to the project, we have decided to not reset the credits.

The team is now upto 11 users, welcome to all the new teammates.
