Hello, on my mainboard Asus P5ld2 VM with dual core D820 CPU works overclocking only for 10%. Any single MHZ over and PC doesnt boot at all. I read somewhere that 10% is limit?
Any information about it?`
Thank You for any help!

well, whats your RAM rated at? have u ran a divider for the RAM if it wont run above spec? the 10% limit is for Intel boards only (and some others) that Asus board should let you go higher...

whats your cooling? those run pretty hot...

There is no 10% limit on the newer chipsets. You are probably maxing out the CPU or your RAM

Or possibly you have not locked you AGP/PCI. A 10% overclock will get a PCI of about 37mhz while 20% will get you almost 40mhz. Try not to use the Asus % values put it to standard and go up a couple mhz at a time. Hopefully you have a AGP lock or divider otherwise 10% is the max stable I could get without it.

Prabably maxing the CPU. The 820's aren;t know as good OC'ers on stock or medium air cooling.

I will check it all again. the 820 is well overclockable i would say, 3.8 on some websites i found. Cooling is not problem also, cpu runs pretty cold at about 45-47° and air going out of cooler is not warm either. Divider i run so, that memory is even underated, so hopefully the should be no problem...
Thanks for the comments...
