LGA 2011 Workstations and Surplus ECC DDR3 (Registered) compatibility?

Has anyone experienced compatibility issues with their 1P or 2P LGA 2011 Workstation using typical surplus Server DDR3 ECC (Registered) from ebay.

One part I am thinking about in particular is HP 500203-061.

Just to clarify, LGA 2011 Workstations (even the 1P versions) are compatible with Registered ECC......what I am looking for is specific compatibility issues (ie, certain brands/models of Registered ECC not working with certain LGA 2011 Workstations).

I had some issues with the server in my sig. I got stuff that was the same type (speed, etc) as the types listed by Supermicro as compatibility tested, but it didn't work. I ended up with some Crucial stuff. Supermicro didn't list it, but Crucial claimed it was compatible, and it worked.
