My ASRock mobo died so need to buy a replacement mobo. Already have an I5-2500k CPU and 8GB of DDR3 1133 RAM in two 4GB cards. Looking for a mobo that has 2560x1440 graphics built-in. Prefer to buy a brand new mobo. Suggestions appreciated.

Look for one with display port:
They are hard to find these days. I have an asrock extreme 4 with my 2500k. I recently picked up a mini-itx asus board for $100 (new); well it was $150 with $50 rebate but they paid the rebate.

You are going to struggle to find a board that has that as LGA 1155 is very rare at all now considering it was EOL over 3 years ago. My advice would be to find any board that supports that chip and get a cheap discrete GPU that can run from just the PCI-E power slot.

You're pretty much going have to scour here, [H], OCN, or Reddit for listings. I've just been through this route and no shop has any, except for unloved H61 boards.

Hum. The board I picked up in august is no longer available. There is a z77 g1. sniper (gigabyte) for $190 on ebay; there are also a couple of other options but none of them all that attractive. I wouldn't spend too much here because at some point it will be cheaper to get a z97 and new cpu.
