Why the f*** is one of the major selling point an usb-c connector?

Dear monitor makers: start making dp1.3/1.4 displays.

Rumors I saw a few days ago were saying it was only 144hz at 2560x1080, at 3440x1440 it is 45-75hz

If not 100Hz+, no buying it for me. I already get 75Hz on my 34" Ultrawide. The Samsung *VA-based panel they will be releasing at a suggested 100Hz+ is another option, but I'm going to wait for reviews first.

LG's site says only 2560x1080. Kind of a given when the price is only $700 when the current 1440p 60hz models are $1000.
