My LG 34UC87M-B is three and a half years old. The monitor was not dropped or jostled. There were no indicators before the failure. The power brick is good. My PC sends a signal to another monitor. I'm guessing the LG's just toast unless a forum savant has another perspective.

Hmmm did you try replacing the video cable just because, does the led light even work or did you have it turned off? If the menus don't even pop up (which they should even if you don't have a signal) it may be toast. Try another connection method, like hdmi instead of displayport etc.

You'd also be surprised how many of my coworkers have a "dead" monitor, but never try pushing the power button lol

I am stupid enough to overlook the power button, but I did remember to try and then retry the power button (or flexi-stick) after connecting the power cable. No menus, nada. I was 99% sure it was a goner, but I thought I'd check around in case there was something I didn't know. Of the many electronic devices I've had, this is the first to just go "poof."

One thing to try, before declaring it "toast".

Unplug the video cable(s). Unplug the power cables. Press the power button a few times, to drain any charges. Let it sit, for like 10 minutes, or longer.

Then try plugging it back it to AC power, and then power it up, see if the menus work. If so, connect the video cable from the PC, and see if it displays.

PS. If you had it connected via DisplayPort, did you use a VESA-compliant cable, that was MISSING pin 20 (I believe it is)? If no, you may have fried something.

Edit: PS. Try a new video cable, if the monitor works in the menus after trying the full "unplug reset" procedure, but does not display when you connect the PC back up to it.
