Nice, I checked the RRP 3,635.46 AU (should be under 2g in the states then), thankfully I can buy it for almost half that. Still waaaay out of my price range.

That's not a monitor, that's a panel/substrate. But LG makes a 20" lcd that they claim has a 16ms response time. The question is: Has it really got a 16ms response time? This has been discussed on these forums before, in the lcd faq page 2 and here.

It has also been discussed over at Ars, an arsian actually bought one link. The arsians have also discussed it in the giant lcd thread.

That is the rising response time, I think. I never really got a straight answer out of LG about it, so I'm guessing its not what you think.
