lg or benq 17" lcd

i have posted this message at peripherals as well, cause i do not know whixh is the right one.
i have recently decided to buy an lg 1715s lcd monitor, but there is apparently some kind of problem for getting it as soon as i would like it to be at home, so i have been offered a 17" benq instead of it. They assure me it is as good as lg is, but i am not as sure as the vendor is so i would greatly appreciate your informing me about the REAL differences between them if any. Thnks in advance

They both make their own panel. Technology and quality are at the same level.
I'd buy the one with better warranty coverage if both are at the same price level.
