LG Optimus Problem

Have found ann odd occurrence on this phone and I can't figure how to bypass it. Phone only uses wifi data, and when out of wifi range and you open up the picture gallery it acts as If nothing is stored. Once you are back within network range, it discovers the pics and works normally.

Help?

I'm guessing maybe all those pictures are stored on picasa web albums. So if only wifi is working, it makes sense that the albums and pictures can't be retrieved when out of range.

They're stored on the sd card.
