Anyone have this phone? Remarks or experiences? Thinking about using my upgrade to pick this up.

My next question is that im selling my current sg2 (att) to my cousin. What do I do? Ive never sold my phone before. I just usually swap out the sim. My cousin's att as well. Do I just do a restore to factory? Its also rooted.

AT&T? Why not upgrade to the new LG G2 instead? I don't know if AT&T has it in store yet though, but it should be real soon.

Thought about it but from what I remember reading about it, the g2 doesnt have expandable storage and it'll most likely be $199 with new contract vs $99.

I've had the phone from it's launch. Upgraded from the Optimus G.

No issues other than AT&T lagging on the updates.

Screen is nice!

A little laggy at times but I hardly ever reboot it.

Charges very, very quickly! From around 10% to full in a little less than 1.5hrs

I'm a light user so I most of the time go around 4-5 days of use without charging.

Light user = couple txts, calls, checking email, web <--- main use for me.

Looks to be supported by the development community now!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2302

Running mine stock currently but poking around to see if a rom catches my eye.

When I first got mine the case selection sucked big time. I'm currently using the Body Glove 9348901 case which fits my needs perfectly.

Did you check the AT&T store? About the only place I can think of that would possibly have a functioning display model. Other than that maybe local craigslist would turn one up for sale? Could always pretend your interested in it to get a hands on experience with it.

Build quality is a subjective matter to a lot of people. To me the phone feels pretty solid. Similar to Samsung if not a little better I'd think....Hands on feel would be best test I'd think.

Local AT&T store has both the G Pro and G2 in store on display. I'd venture to say yours should have them as well.

I have it. Great hardware, terrible software (I like to tinker). I got it for $440 off-contract, which is a steal if you ask me. LG has a lot of work to do, software-wise but thank G-d this is Android and we have options.

EDIT: The battery life is awesome. Let it sit for a couple of hours after it's completely charged and that sucker will stay at 100% for another 6-8 hours.

I live in a really small town so no att store. There is an auth rep ill be going to tonight to check & see if its there. Otherwise I gotta drive an hr to find 1 I can play with. Att online they have both g2 & g pro so I was doing comparisons that way.

get the korean G2 that has the memory card..... (yeah, not that much cheaper after the markup fees and lack of warranty)

I love mine, at least until I dropped it this morning. Now I have a shattered screen to replace.

But the screen is great. It's fairly responsive.

Yep factory reset and swap out the sim card is all you'll need to do.

Ouch....That must have been painful.

I saw it at an AT&T store and I did like what I saw. It's running 4.1 though and while 4.1 is good enough for many things, I would like some sort of indication that future upgrades are coming. With the G2 out, I am not sure how much care the G Pro will receive from LG.

I will visit my AT&T store later this week to see the two side by side.

That $100 savings over a 2 year contract that will cost you almost $2,000 is nothing but a pittance.
Just spend the $199 to get the best phone and be done with.

***EDIT***
I could have sworn you had an HTC One or a more recent phone. What happened to it?
Or am I confusing you with someone else?

Nope not me. Must've been someone else. Been using my sg2 for about 2.5 yrs now. Hopefully I can find somewhere that has both on display and make a decision.

I wouldn't use my upgrade on this phone. Wait for the Note III. If I truly had my heart set on the G Pro, I would pay retail.

A trip to the AT&T store is most likely the only place you'd be able to get a hands on with both of them. About the only place I found that doesn't use dummy phones on display.

I just went to my local auth. Rep store & they had both the g pro & g2. They both felt awesome & completely fluid when switching screens or opening apps. The g pro felt good in hand & the button placement felt fine. The g2 buttons on the back were a bit awkward, but not necessarily something you wouldnt get used to. Decisions decisions.

On 1 hand faster processor & better camera for the g2

On the other, more real estate & $100 less & expandable storage for the g pro. Ughhhhh.

Corporate AT&T retail stores are stilling them for $400. They are still tagged at $430 or $450 but they ring up at $400.

It's better to get it at an AT&T authorized retail store. The corporate stores will force you to setup an account if you don't have one already. The non-corporate stores will just sell it to you, no questions asked.
