Finally, all outstanding issues regarding the LG L246WP 24" LCD wide-screen flat panel monitor have been resolved!

Fast response, no ghosting, reasonably minimal back-lighting, 1:1 when hooked up to DVI/HDMI or component external devices such as a set top box that receives over the air HD television broadcasts using the OSD Menu Options and now, I have had a chance to determine that the L246WP is also 1:1 at all screen resolutions.

New System: Intel E6600 Core2Duo(stock), Asus P5W DH Deluxe mobo with latest 2004 BIOS, 3GB Corsair cl4 RAM, 2 X Western Digital 320GB hard drives with 16MB cache, OCZ GameXStream 700W power supply, and (a lame but soon-to-be upgraded) ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB video graphics card.

I am not a gamer so here is how I made this latest determination: I right clicked on my Windows Desktop and selected Properties. I clicked the Settings tab and set the screen resolution to 800 X 600.

The full screen came up with this new display resolution and everything was huge. The icons were about 2 inches tall and I would have needed a screen 8 feet X 6 feet to see the entire Desktop.

I brought up the L246WP's OSD Menu and went into ARC where Full was already enabled and then I selected the 1:1 option. Momentarily the entire display screen went black except for this small rectangle about 8 inches X 6 inches situated in the center where the entire Desktop was clearly displayed.

Being in a hurry I did not check the 1:1 setting options with all the other screen resolutions available with my graphics card. But I think it safe to say that these most certainly would have produced similar 1:1 results.

So there you have it. Cheers!

Yes, it does indeed do 1:1 pixel mapping, & also from VGA & component.

In Canada, i'd consider the LG L246WP one of the best deals on a 24", if not the best :)

Very nice.

My last two LCDs (Dell 2007WFP, Gateway FPD2485W) have had hardware 1:1 pixel mapping and I have found this feature invaluable. So much so that I will never give this feature up, no matter what it costs me.

Yeah my Dell had that built in (no menu/OSD for the 3007WFP, it just works), thank god.

I couldn't live w/o it either.
