LG L227WT and forte manager

Are any of the L227WT users out there using the LG forte manager software? If so, what version are you using? The version 2.80 that came on the installation CD won't run on my PC (Win XP SP2). It simply craps out every time with an application error. I went to the LG website and they show that the L227WT should be using the newer forte manager software (version 3.07). That version runs, but the icons are unresponsive. I know that the utility isn't needed per se, but I would like to be able to save some presets.
