lg GH22NS30 not recognized

I just put in my new lg GH22NS30 and Windows XP isn't recognizing it. My bios sees it though. I looked at the device manager and it shows the drive and I see the little yellow circle with a (!). any suggestions to get this thing working?

MB Gigabyte p35-ds3r
CPU Pentium Dual Core e2160
GFX Nvidia 8800GT
OS Windows XP 32 bit SP3
 
Like on the (!) and unistall the drivers its trying to use. Then have it find the drivers again to see if its recognized.
