The 6P isn't a particularly pretty phone if that's what you're into. In fact it's fairly fugly really.
Well the camera looked hilariously bad in early pictures. Real life wasn't as bad though I'll give you it's not particularly good looking.

lol @ the concept of an "ugly" phone

Exterior looks has to be the bottom of the list for what I look for in a phone. Are there that many people that get hung up on that?

Who thought this phone was good looking ???

The interchangeable slot is a definite differentiator. I don't think it's going to significantly change market share as most users don't want to fiddle or carry extras, but it should solidify the gains made with the V10, especially if the continue to add new slots.

Nice job to separate from the herd.

Indeed, the modular add-ons concept is interesting! I hope that's where the future is heading.

The Always On Display will only take 0.8% battery per hour.
Thats 19.2% of less battery per day... hope this could be turned off.
Im still surprised lg can't mimic the g2's bezel's after all this time, if only that mate8 came in a 5" size.

It looks pretty sharp. Metal body AND removable battery slot? Seems like they're trying to capture the market at both ends of the spectrum. I think LG G6 will have a separate mini battery for hot swapping modules though.

Hehe, I was just about to come in here and posted a pic of the Mate 8 to all those who said how many ways can you make a rectangular phone and you already did it for me.
The Mate 8 is an example of a gorgeous looking phone. Little to no bezels and screams "premium" all over.

Looks pretty nice to me.

As far as the whole ugly thing goes...Im meh. Nowadays pretty much all phones look similar enough to not matter anymore. A slab of glass and plastic/metal.

after using my nexus 6, not going back to a sub 6 inch screen in the near future. 🙂 I put strong drop protection on mine so I don't really care about the aesthetics. The sheep can do that.

Seriously, it's like they've been sheltered their whole life. I don't even think the s7 could even touch the premium feel and design of the mate8, let alone LG. This is a pretty big drop from the G4 from an aesthetic perspective.

As far as I'm concerned, the modular add-ons are nothing more but a differentiator at this point since the G5 looks ugly AF and pretty much every phones coming out the next 2 years will have a SD820, 4gb ram, laser focus camera, etc. So what else do they have to show for it? Man, first it's HTC and now we kinda see LG starting to go down that dark path...

The specs look fine. I don't care about looks, I always put at least a thin urethane case on my phones. My main concerns are the camera, removable battery, and size, this looks like my next phone as of right now, but I'm not in the market currently.

I'm genuinely excited about this phone. The attachment with the extended battery and better camera controls looks awesome. I'm currently using a g4 and am happy with it. I will eventually get a g5 but probably at years end when hopefully I can get a deal. I hope this reverses the trend by manufacturers of sealing the batteries in.

Most people don't care about this stuff though. Most people just want to pick up a phone and use it. That's why the iphone and samsung galaxy s7 will easily outsell the LG model.

Very much disappointed in the regression of battery size, at least the s7 edge got a 3600mah battery (40% ish more). While it does have that expandable thing, I feel kinda like were going to get ripped off on the price of a battery expansion device.

Which is why I'm using a 6500mah battery in my lg g4. I charge my phone overnight and that's it. Even then I'm usually at 40% or more. With removable batteries that's an option I have unlike the other manufacturers.
