Interesting.

Not sure this resolution is needed on phones. I certainly didn't see a huge advantage of 1080p over 720p, and now were going above 500PPI.

LG is really trying to catch up to Samsung. The G2 was the best Android device of the year in my opinion.

Could there now be a race back to the smallest size flagship phone please? IMO the N5's 5" screen is borderline too big to go comfortably in my trouser pocket.

I trust LG to be able to create a 5.5 inch screened phone that isn't a pain to use and hold. 74-75 millimeters broad like the Xperia Z1 would be acceptable and isn't impossible. The main risk here seems to be that they sacrifice bezel shrinkage for the dust/water proofing and end up with an ergonomical nightmare like most phones of this size are. Every millimeter counts in this size range.

I'd definitely be more excited about an LG G2 equivalent of size 4.5-4.7 inch (G3 Mini maybe?), but this is interesting enough to consider as a daily driver.
