LG CDRW slow down

DDRII

Junior Member
I have an LG 52x/32x/52x CDRW. Untill recently it wrote a complete CD at 52x in under 4 min. Suddenly it started taking 6-8 min. I reinstalled windows but to no luck. I have an AMD 3000+, 512MB RAM, 120GB Western Digital 120GB SATA HDD, Win XP Pro + SP1. Is there any thing that can be done

Did you check DMA on the drive? Did you install the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard? Did you update your burning program to the latest version?

I am using the same Media, and my HDD is defragmented. DMA enabled, nForce 2 Ultra latest drivers, Nero 6.0.0.15
