I know the LG has local dimming whereas the Sammy does not. Does anyone have a recommendation either way?

i would go LG LH90 over the edge lit B6000. The B6000 has visible lighting that plagues many of these sets in the corners and isnt nearly as good as local dimming.

However, id steer clear of the LH90 as of right now--there are really bad audio syncing issues with that line. of course not everyone has them, but many do. check out the forums at avs. apparently fixing it is a PITA since LG isnt aware of it (at least when i checked, which is recent). otherwise its a very nice tv. the box is fucking HUGE, like two times the size of other tv boxes...for some trivia lol.

All LG TVs seem to suffer with lip sync issues, I have one that is 60Hz (42LH30) and many are having same problems with 43LH40. I wish I bought a Samsung.

You can do google search for any LG model that comes to your mind and you'll see people having lip sync issues with it.
