LG 22" LCD is the BOMB!!!

I just picked up the LG L227WTG-PF (2nd try) and this one is everything I expected it would be. I had bought this LCD a few months back from Best Buy and that unit had excessive back light bleed so I took it back. After watching the great reviews pile up on "Best Buy" and now on "Newegg" I figured I'd give it another shot.

The 2nd time was a charm for me, this LCD rocks! I was a hard core CRT fan for the longest time and finally decided to switch after finding that Vista & CRT's don't play nicely together and I'm very happy to have made the switch.

If your a Gamer, this is the LCD for you! Running it on Vista x64 and couldn't be happier 🙂

Congrats on the new monitor; glad you're happy. I'll bet you're amazed at how big your desk is, now that you can actually SEE your desk, right? 😀 I don't miss my gargantuan CRT one bit.

A quality monitor is very important; it's your interface to your computer. Enjoy.

sweet i just saw that newegg has it in stock again. im in bad shape with my current CRT not quite working right anymore, and i was hoping to get the 26" doublesight display eventually. my parents might consider this as a fair christmas present though, considering i need a new monitor. will take away from the raw $ i get though to put toward the 26 incher. im a dual panel guy either way though, and i was 100% positive i would get one of these eventually for a second rig, a second monitor on the same rig, or both.

ed: does anyone know the difference between the L227WTG-PF and the other 2 models of 22 inch LG monitors newegg is selling besides list price and how much newegg is discounting them for?

ed2. looks like the first one is an older model of the 3rd, and the second doesnt have the glossy coating.

I got a W2252TQ a little while ago. I freaking love it. By far one of the best purchases I have made. Amazing for anything.

How is the after market stand on it? I want to replace mine. That is the only thing the I don't like on the LG L227 the stand sucks. Its whobbles and is not very sturdy. Was it easy to install the new stand?

I got the L226WTQ-BF a couple of weeks and am happy with it. (Then again, I'm not too picky). It has a nice thin bezel that is simple and not too flashy. Also, you can play around with settings to turn off the power LED when it's active and also to display 4:3 resolutions without stretching.

I also got a wall mount for it, which takes care of the wobbly monitor on my wobbly desk and also frees up about 6 inches of depth on the desk. Also makes for a quick home improvement project. All in all, a pretty sweet setup.
