LG 19" Widescreen question

Well i got my new LCD LG 19" Widescreen 5ms 2000:1 contrast ratio
i got it hooked up with dvi cables on my x800gto2 modded to x850pro

now my question is
i play older games like counter-strike 1.6
my max res is 1152x864 , how come i cant go any higher then that ?

 
Nope, your LCD isn't limiting the game. It's the game itself that doesn't support those widescreen resolutions. You could check for a update on the game, because it might include support for widescreen resolutions.
