I am looking to play a healing class, and need a group to team up with in an MMO, mostly for PVE but once I get used to healing maybe expanding if that it what the group wants.

If anyone out there is looking for a healer, who is a 6 year MMO vet (WoW, Aion, WAR, STO, AoC, CoH/CoV, CO, GW, LotRO, VG, mostly WoW). How I would like to do it is have whoever contacts me about the game send me a Refer a Friend invite for the game or a link to the trial, I will sign-up and make my healer, and then we can get to playing.

However the only restrictions are, I am married, so I will be pretty casual. But we can set up times and I will be able to be there. Most of my play will be on the weekends, but during the week I can usually get about 2 to 2.5 hours a night in.

If we all get a long and enjoy playing with each other, when my paycheck gets here in a day or two, I will purchase the game.

I may be interested in something like this. My first MMORPG was Everquest back in 1999 which I played for 2 years. Then Dark Age of Camelot for a year, then of course WoW which took 3 years from me. For the past 6 months I have been playing LOTRO on and off (mostly off - haven't logged in for almost two months.) This could also help me justify the load I just spent upgrading my PC even though I've been playing mostly console games lately.

I also would prefer something casual. In my WoW days, we raided almost every day which was very draining for me since I was the main tank. I also felt obligated to be on all the time because if I didn't show up, they either went with less experienced/geared tanks and wiped a lot or didn't go at all.

I don't have any suggestions on what to play, so if anybody else wants to do this they can choose as long as it's not WoW.

edit: Actually, I do have 4 friend invites that came with the LOTRO CE, though there is a trial anyway. I can send you one if you want. Or is it free now? I haven't kept up.

This is something I really hope we can get going. I'm not sure if LoTRO would be a game I'd be interested in going back to. The gameplay, and mechanics of that game annoy after a few days. I can't guarantee that it would be a game I could stick to.

I think Aion would be fun honestly, I have an account already, and would love to roll a cleric, on either side.
 
I tried a little of DDO recently, I'm more into games with a persistent world.

And with Aions new 1.9 patch it's looking so much better then when I played it last, (right after launch). And 2.0 will be coming out soon, and that looks to be awesome as well.
