So I just got back from Quakecon to discover there's a scratch on the "protective" plastic on my Dell FPW2005 (1680x1050). So I need a new monitor, and I need your help.

What my new monitor must have:
true 8-bit color (absolutely not 6-bit+Hi-FRC)
widescreen
low latency (but most do to my knowledge these days)
in the range of 20.1" to 24"
no more than $350. Preferribly I'd like to spend no more than $250 (pre-S&H), but I'm willing to spend upto $350.

Thanks!

I think we can pretty much rule out anything larger than 20.1" that has true 8-bit color. Have you read the LCD thread stickied in the Video Cards and Graphics category?

I think you'll be hard pressed to find anything in your price range that is 8-bit and low latency that isn't either an expensive IPS panel or a PVA panel riddled with input lag.

Pretty much what I'm thinking too...

If you really REALLY want that stuff for a cheaper price...CRT......
