Well, more than likely we're going to be be shortchanged by Toyota... I seriously doubt we'll get it... (prolly Euro/Japan only from the display saying IS200).... but I'm not so sure this is a Toyota car... it seems to be a tuner car... TTE? Doesn't look like TRD...
could it be they just jammed the LS430 V8 into the IS300 and then slapped a blower on it? It prolly would make about 400bhp...

Either way, turboing the current US IS300 is still gonna be cheaper and prolly faster. HKS has lotsa goodies for the Altezza/IS300 and has demo'ed various versions with well over 400bhp. Hmm... I wonder if the Supra's 2JZ-GTE would squeeze in there... now that would rock!
The super'ed V8 would prolly screw up the IS's nice balance.

yes, man people stick the infamous 2JZ-GTE under LExus cars

There is guy in Irvine,CA who has it under his GS3 with a HUGE single turbo (I don't have pics, but I can get from my brother who took pics of it)

There is guy in Florida (rich d00d with lambo, Porche, etc) and has the 2JZ-GTE engine under it. He uses the IS3 as his daily car.

I heard toyomota <sp?> in Florida is one of the best ppl to do the 2JZ-GTE engine swap.

That is true. Anyone see any Jaguar X-Types on the road yet? I guess BMW's 3 will remain King, despite its competitors' best efforts!

And where did you hear that rubbish from? From all accounts that I have seen, the IS300 has been doing well. Otherwise, they wouldn't have added a 5-speed and a 5-door wagon to the lineup. They are also thinking about adding a coupe and convertible version of the IS300.

So either this is just something you made up, or you SHOW me where you hear that sales are poor.

Secondly, the new IS430 looks SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

I own a DSM though... thankfully there's some nice shops for DSMs in my area...
no real point in trying to squeeze a 2JZ-GTE into an Eclipse, but that would be pretty sweet nonetheless, at least for the "Oooo... Ahhhh... Factor"

That and I'm not some rich d00d, with m4d c4$h...

The IS is selling quite well actually, Toyota confirmed that they're going to be bring special option packages for the IS300 (stuff like bodykit & wheel packages).

I don't know if they plan to sell (or even produce) this "IS430". It would be cool if they did, but it's going to be unobtainable for most people. 45k at least... I bet dealers would have a hay-day marking it up

IS300 are ALL OVER THE PLACE down here in Florida. About 4 people on my block at home near Ft. Lauderdale have em.

As for the IS430, we need more PICS!!!!
