Taking my car for a transmission flush at the dealer. They stated they dont drop the transmission pan to change the filter. The one service rep I spoke with said the filters are pretty good and last a long time.

I'm used to having them changed on my old car but this is my first lexus.
 
I don't think they ever change the filter for the transmission. I plan on changing out my tranny fluid on the GS pretty soon. Check out clublexus.com for some more info.
