But then the women I'm traveling with on a drive through downtown Detroit start squealing. They're discovering all the great passenger perks in this Japanese ride. They love the Lexus more than the driver does.

"I've found the soul of the car," shrieks one of them from the rear. "It's in the vibrating seat back here!"

It still looks bland, although in this case, I assume that's a good thing.

I love Lexus interiors, but they have one glaring problem. They can't get the colours right! Look at the dash of the RX330, it has aluminum, wood, and black all clashing together! Look at this LX430 interior. It has nice wood finish, then the center "pod" is brown-ish/black! Why couldn't that be wood to? And don't get me started on the "pod" bulging out of that center console. Either they should do it right (like the Q45's pod) or stick with a swooping console layout (like previous gen LS400s).

The 18-inch rims on that LS430 looks shockingly similar to the 16-inch rims on the S14 240SX (design wise).

I agree with the above, it still looks pretty bland and uninspiring to me....aggressive would be the last term I would use to describe this car or most Lexus models. Nice interior though.
