Lexmark Z65p Printer in Vista

I plugged in my Lexmark z65p printer into my computer. Vista recognized it and installed the drivers for it. I could then go into the properties of the printer and it would let me print out a test page, alignment page, etc. That worked fine.

But, whenever I try to print out a normal page (like something from the internet or a word document) it won't print it. I opened up the printer thing (with the list of what its going to print) and it said something about now being able to connect with the printer? The pages never print...but I can print test pages fine?

Help!

You need to see if Lexmark has a driver for Vista---or some workaround---new OS--you need a new driver---and many printer manufacters may never get around to writing Vista drivers for old printers. And you also have to remember---Vista is still a beta---which panics the printer manufacters about zero.

What Vista installed is just a joke of a driver---try seeing if it will use the win XP driver for the Z65.----but as I re-raed your post---you may have to unplug your USB cable--- reboot and then plug the USB cable back in---and see if Vista then installs the drivers.---you get a clue if a taskbar item appears saying installing new hardware. So try the latter thing first.
