Okay, had this problem for a while now, but finally getting around to it. I have a Lexmark Z51 via USB connector. I am running Win98 SE. The problem is that the printer would not print until I reboot the comp. Sometime it would print perfectly!!! Very frustrating. Anyone have a suggestion, beside throwing it out window and buying Epson or HP? Hee Hee.:disgust::confused:

Try going into control panel, system devices, USB host controller advanced tab properties and put a check in the box that says disable USB error detection.

I think it's a general problem with either Lexmark USB printing or the USB driver's themselves. I have the Z52 and have a recurring problem (it talks to me) and say "problems communicating wiht the printer" Then when I select retry, it starts working again. Its going to USB on a A7V133. But this can't be solved no matter what I do. It works perfectly using LPT port. If this is a recurring problem, then I suggest testing it with LPT1 and see if that helps any.
