I mean, for $19 I guess it's OK as a printer for the kids. But I wouldn't spend any money buying new cartridges once the one in the printer goes dry. And it'll go dry real fast given that the printer doesn't come with a black cartridge.

Yes, and yes. I agree with both points. I am the unfortunate owner of an older Lexmark C1100 printer, which is basically the older model of Z11. Came with a (partial?) color cart, no black, only has a single print cart holder so you have to switch them in and out. Plan on trashing mine when the ink runs out.
This printer deal is cheaper than an ink cart, almost made me think about buying another one, but considering that the ink cart that comes with it is not a full one, and the impact to the environment of just dumping said printer when the cart runs out, I think I'm going to pass on this one. Not to mention, supporting evil Lexmark when they are using the DMCA to put other companies out of business and drive jobs out of the USofA.
I still have a nice Okidata laser that someone gave me some time ago, just needs some toner cleaned out of it, spilled some inside last time I replaced the toner. :|
PS. Forgot to mention, my C1100 has some severe problems with paper-feeding too.
