Lexmark Z-65 40$ AR

I got this a couple of weeks ago for about $30 AR from Staples(spent $200 so I used the $50 off 200 coupon), bought it, a 52x cdrw and some more far cd-rs, it's a nice printer.

Can you tell me if the lexmark printer cartridge has a chip on it that keeps you from refilling it with ink? I have a c42ux and even at $5/cartridge it still uses too much ink. I would be better off being able to refill one. I don't know if lexmark has done this yet or just epson. Thanks

you can refill the Z-65 ,i bought a kit from costco for 17$ (480ml) I refilled the cartriges(Z-65) for a friend and they worked just fine .

nice price...

i just keep buying new printers that come with ink...they turn out to be less money than buying ink alone.

Tiss sad it has to be that way isn't it?

remember, you get what you pay for with these printers. A z-65 came free when I bought a laptop @ radio shack ahile ago. The b&W printing is not that bad, but the color seems pretty terrible. Both ink carts are running low and I don't think its worth it to buy another cart. The printer also seems to have trouble loading the paper streight when its printing.
