Lexmark X73 + Windows xp multiple users = death

Helo, I recently purchased a lexmark x73, which seems to be working fine on my account(which is the administrator). I can both print and scan. On one of the other two accounts, printing works great, but scanning just causes the application to crash. I've tried looking at lexmark's technical support site, but unsurprisingly they were rather useless. Anyone have any help for this problem? Or perhaps a printer help site? :]. I tried searching on google and just found endless offers for 3.99 print cartridges...
