In my dubious hunting for a cheap laser printer I finally found one that was suitable. It can be upgraded with up to a 64MB SIMM for up to 66 MB. It is a refurbished product, however it comes with the same warranty from Lexmark as the new ones. Only downside I saw was that it only comes with a 1500 page cart initailly. Then you can buy either 3k or 6k carts afterwards. This printer seems to be better than the similarly priced E210. You can find it here.

ECost had mixed reviews for customer service on Pricegrabber so I thought I would take a shot at it.

Isn't the cart cost a bit high? Ecost has one for $136, but even the 3k cart is $90 shipped at pricewatch. That's roughly twice what I pay for the hi cap cart in my SS870.

I have found the 6k for about $110 at the best prices and the 3k for about $85ish. Not exactly the cheapest in the world, but considering it is slightly larger than most (I think the HP 1200 only prints about 4K) it is not so bad. Plus on product reviews it seems to recieve less complaints. I forget the cost per page on the hi cap, but is within reason especially considering the intial cost of the printer.
