You are correct Esquire,
This ISN'T a USB 2.0 model - I have it, I filled out the exact same rebate form. Nowhere does it say USB 2.0 on the description page, and the rebate form has a picture of the item (rebate valid only for 1 item), and if you look at the USB logo on the image, it's not the high speed 2.0 logo (which has a red stripe above).
Still, a great deal for this jumpdrive. I like mine a lot.

Waiting for the 512MB Versions to come down in price. I don't like the look of these. I want one thats rubber on the outside can go through alot on my keychain 😀

Been using my 128meg version for a couple of months now. Great product. We are going to order 1 for all our instructors.

What kind of school? How many instructors do you have? I think 1 for ALL isn't enough, maybe 1 for every two instructors. Because remeber the data is not secured and I don't think the instructors would like other instructors to look at their data. And with such a low price, why not buy one for every instructor?

Just a thought.

I have a 128MB and a 256MB Lexar jump drive, and they are nice drives...also (IMO) one of the better looking drives, it doesn't look like a dildo or something from "The Day the Earth Stood Still"

Klaatu barada nicto, indeed.

I believe he meant "one for each of our instructors."

(At least that's how I initially read it).

Your right. I should have said "1 for each instructor". My bad.

I am an instructor for one of the Field Training Detachments in the Air Force. It's basically a more in depth Technical School for Airmen that have been working the planes for a couple of years. When I am not teaching Engine systems and theory, I am the Work Group Manager and ADPE custodian for the Detachment.

ADPE custodian... Are you serious? Why waste your time, with so much education you deserve a better job, i would think.

oh yeah, What does ADPE stand for?

Thanks

David

Just a question - rebate shows $10 for 128Mb version and $15 for the 256 - where do you get the $20 rebate for each of them?

😀

Rebates in effect this month: $10 & $15. Free shipping on the 256MB, but six bucks to Seattle for the 128MB.

Current deal: $29.99 and $62.99 (+ S/H) after MIR.

(There are OfficeMax-only rebates of $15 & $20, but much higher price, and I don't see the 256MB online.)

Edit: buy.com keeps changing the page. Free shipping for the 128MB; $28.07 after MIR.

It now shows $57.83 as the price after $15 rebate.

Does anyone have this who can comment on the quality of this drive? Does the cap fall off easily?

Use the $10 off Buy.com coupon code floating around ($75 minimum purchase and it expires today, July 3) and make the deal even better. Don't forget it includes free shipping.

The 128 meg version is the Jump Drive, which is USB 1.1. The 256 meg version is the Jump Drive Pro which is listed as "Hi-Speed" USB 2.0 - this would be the true USB 2.0.
