Taken fron FW, Shire gets the credits for the find.

I know this has been posted in bits and pieces but I dont think this deal has been outlined fully... also Staples has been OOS for a while on this product and it just came back in stock (for me anyways)...

Buy at Staples Lexar 256MB SD card

Pricematch at Amazoon (sp on purpose) with free shipping and $20 rebate ($51.24)
Amazon Link

Use coupon 77xxx for 10 off 50 - Big YMMV!

your total will be ~$50 (add filler if you get 110% pricematch which i didnt get, but i didnt care bc this is still FLAMING) - $10 coupon and on top of this you can still send in the $20 rebate (linked below)

Rebate for the card- Lexar rebate posted at Amazon

This is an easy pricematch as it is through amazon.com... also you can get it pricematched after the $20 bc the rebate is not listed on the Staples website even tho the rebate is good at authorized retailers (im assuming Staples is one).

Also this card is much better than any Sandisk you may find for close to this price...

As always when pricematching and using coupons and rebate stuff YMMV but i just did this and it is VERY DOABLE!!! I called to pricematch then called back to add the coupon...

I personally didn't use the coupon, too much trouble and its against Staple policy. But I would first buy the SD card at full price and then call to do a PM later to avoid the $50 minimum for free shpping.

If you get the rebate then it would be $37.36 - $20 = $17.36 plus tax on $37.36 = $19.60

BTW - Called Amazon at 8:30am Monday, the CSR told they had several thousand in inventory. Amazon telephone number 800-201-7575.

Haven't tried but Staples will probably look at the rebate, say it's valid at Staples also and therefore not pricematch the after rebate price. Technically it's not in their policy to pricematch after rebate prices reguardless if the rebate is valid at Staples or not.. It just turns out that some CSRs will do it... You will really have to find a stupid CSR to match an after rebate price when the rebate seems valid at Staples also...

Still not a bad price $51 tho..

A couple of ideas to argue with:

1) If nothng else Staples should PM the base Amazon price of $71.24 against thier $189.99 for a savings of $11.88 or a purchase price of $59.37 - $20 rebate = $39.37

2) Taken from Staples PM policy;
"Available coupons and rebates will be deducted from the Staples price to come up with a net Staples price when calculating the price match. For example, if you buy an item from us for $100, and we offer a $20 rebate, the net price is $80. If the item is available from another company for $80 or more, there will be no price match. Another example would be if you buy an item from us for $159 and you have a $30 coupon the net price is $129. If the item is available from another company for $125, the price match will be for $4.40 (110% of the difference). "

Its not explicitly written that available coupons don't mean avaiable competitor's coupons or rabates.

3) Staple does not have the rebate listed in thier database. So that means Staple must not be a particpating retailer. As stated on the rebate slip.

As always a few issues to deal with. YMMV. If nothing else call another CSR.

Don't think the rebate will work, as it states on it:
Valid only at retailers authorized to participate
I guess it might be worth a shot, as what do you have to lose?
