Leviton Keystones?

I've got my wire all pulled and am ready to start terminating. I want my data and electrical outlet covers to match (color and size) so I thought Leviton was a good choice. I used CAT5e and RG59 cable from Home Depot. Here is what I'm look at purchasing.

Qty Milestek # Item Unit Cost Total
50 LE-5G108-RI5 CAT5E GIGAMAX JACK, IVORY $3.95 $197.50
26 LE-40831-OBI F-TYPED BULKHEAD MODULE, GOLD PLATED IVORY $2.31 $60.06
25 LE-41080-3IP 3 PORT WALLPLATE IVORY $1.45 $36.25
1 LE-41080-1IP 1 PORT WALLPLATE IVORY $1.45 $1.45
100 LE-86003 SINGLE GANG 1 DUPLEX WALLPLATE IVORY $0.28 $28.00
75 10-16013-202 F PLUG RG59 1 PIECE IMPORT $0.19 $14.25
1 90-10122 25DB VIDEO LINE AMPLIFIER $15.55 $15.55
7 90-10114 4 WAY 900MHZ F SPLITTER GOLD $4.95 $34.65
10 26-201-60 CORD CAT5e STRN BLUE T568B 5' $2.25 $22.50
5 26-200-60 CORD CAT5e STRN GRAY T568B 5' $2.25 $11.25
Total $421.46

Does everything look ok? Is a $4 decent? I've seen cheaper and more expensive ones. I found everything at Milestek.com. Is there a better place?

I've used Leviton, they're pretty decent.

No panel for the central closet?

Remember to make sure they are all the same spec (568a or 568b) you can swap pair without any adverse affect, but it's a pain for the guy that does work on the system later.

Good Luck

Scott

Leviton are easy to find and replace or match locally, like at home depot. There are better brands out there for ease of punchdown, but if you are talking less than 10 drops, that is not really a factor.
You might get these cheap😀
I prefer Allen Tel AT65 for ease of punchdown, but those are distributed by Graybar and are not readily found at retail outlets.

I've already got the patch panels.

Actually there are 50 CAT5e drops and 26 RG59. I'm only looking at 10 patch cables to start out though.

Thanks guys.

Sorry, I did not look at your laundry list. I think you can do better than 3.95 each.I also prefer AMP to leviton, and this place has 50 jacks for $95, which fit AMP plates.
EDIT: Those are for cat6!

I bought all my keystone plates and adaptors and such at http://www.lanshack.com

Best prices I could find anywhere and they've all worked flawlessly.

Neither of those offer single gang wall plates and I'd really like them to match. What are the chances of getting aother compies jacks to fit into Leviton wall plates?

Thanks.

I used the Leviton ones for my house and like them a lot. Home Depot sells 10 packs of the Cat5e/F-connector/cat3-Phone keystones at a reduced price that is much better then buying them individually.

PS....You should have wired up the cable TV with RG-6 instead of RG-59. I did RG-6 quad sheilded for mine. Here are some great cable tv connectors. these are the same one's that Time Warner and a lot of other cable companies use. The SNSIT crimper is the one I have and I love it.....very easy to use.

RG-59 SNS Connector
SNS Crimper

RG62 is 92 ohm cabling (was used for 3270 terminal application to IBM mainframes .... and Arcnet).

RG6 in any of it's flavors is fine, jus' fine. Quad-Shield is the top-of-the-heap.

FWIW
