Leveling in BF2

in BF2 after i got Lance Corporal the progress bar for the next rank barely moves now. is this just how it is now? cus im doing a hell of a lot better in the game now getting gold/silver/bronze stars all the time now and unlocking new ribbons and medals and such but i dont think i've seen that bar move up at all and i like playing commander it adds a new element to playing BF2

Yes, after Lance Corporal, leveling is just slow as balls. Suck it up.

Around 400 or 500, you advance to Private First Class. After 1000 points, you advance to Lance Corporal. The next level, Corporal, is obtained by hitting around 10,000 or 10,500. You'd better get busy playing .

I think this is just a way of prolonging the game for DICE. If you got promoted too fast, once you got the highest rank you would have less incentive to play. It may be a year before you reach Master Sergeant

Edit - for 10,000 points to be a Corporal, I don't think I'll get that rank for 5 months given how much time I have to play.

Basically, the ranks are a subversive loser meter

jesus i'll never go up another rank seeing as it took me almost a week 1/2 just to get Lance Corporal, i dont play too much and ranked servers are usually full when i play

I suck too much to play rank servers. I'm getting medals and decent points, but my kills are like half my deaths . Guess I'm more of a Kamikaze player.
