let's say there's a letter from Bob.

letter text:

blah blah blah blah blah.
blah blah blah
blah blah
blah

R/Bob

alternatively, the letter can also end with r/Bob or SF/Bob

what do R/ r/ and SF/ mean?

Stupid fucker?
People just change greetings and salutations on a whim? What ever happened to etiquette?

Is it in the place where the closing normally is, after the body? Like Regards, Bob.

Or is it at the bottom where CC or encl. would normally appear?

I'd guess that SF = sent from and RR = reply requested. There should be somewhere that lists all of these.

I forgot about the slash.

Normally that is when the typer and writer are different.

So R/Bob means somebody with the first initial of R (secretary) typed it and Bob wrote it. Whenever you see a slash that's what that means.

Wow. It's been so long that I forgot about business correspondence etiquette.

This thread made me laugh (nevermind that it is Friday, 1:38pm, have only had 2 drinks, and am at work).

SF Bob means "San Francisco Bob".

He's trying to hint to you that he's Homosexual

The blah blah blah part is because it's hard to talk with another mans ding dong in his mouth.
