Lets talk about flash memory

What format do use?
What size are your flash cards?
What brand do you use?

How much do you carry when you shoot?

What do you carry your flash cards in?

1GB Sandisk Ultra II and 512MB RiDATA CF for the rebel. I carry the spare in the plastic thing it came in. Sits in the bag.

1GB PQI SD for the SD200. It was dirt cheap. I only need maybe a half gig tops, heh.

For my Canon S400 P&S: 256MB SanDisk CF card of unknown speed (it's over 2 years old). It can hold up to 150 pictures at the full 6-megapixels.
For my Rebel XT: 2GB A-Data CF 120x Card. It can hold up to 550+ jpegs at 3200x2400. I'd get another card of the same size if/when I start to shoot in RAW.

As far as what I carry them in, they all stay in the cameras, but I do have 2 plastic cases which the cards came with and I have a camera bag to store those small cases.

2 2GB Ritek CF cards
1 2GB Kingston Elite Pro
1 1GB Kingston Elite Pro
1 512MB Kingston Elite Pro

not all purchased at the same time.

when i went to england and france in the summer of 2004 i took a 256 MB and a 128 MB card and my laptop.
a year later when i went to istanbul and athens i took the three kingston cards and managed to not use all the space. but those two trips were with a 4 MP camera taking jpgs.
when i went to singapore, malaysia, and thailand in november i took the all the listed cards and was really cramped for space. shooting 10 MP raw absolutely eats space. i took far fewer pictures than i had in istanbul and athens

i have 3 SD cards, two 2 gb and one 1 gb. one is kingston and i forget what the other 2 are, maybe patriot?

i keep one 2gb in the camera and the other 2 stay in their little cases in a pouch in my camera bag.

I've been using a 256meg Sandisk SD card.
I just bought a 2gig Trancend 150x SD card to replace it.

I've also got a 16meg MMC card in my Wii and a 16meg SD card in a digital picture frame. Both of those came packed in with canon cameras.
