Lets start the Anandtech Tribes 2 Clan

NDA is over, and Tribes 2 can't be far behind. I've heard it discussed in many a thread to start an Anandtech Tribes 2 Clan... Well, Its time to bring the pieces together... ATC, The Anandtech Tribes Clan.... or something like that...

Lets start laying the ground work for the best team on the Online Gamers League...

I guess we better ask Anand if we can use his name?

We also might want to say what positions we would want to play. I want to snipe or be on defense.

I don't really like clans but since this is Tribes 2 afterall I might be down with it.

Actually I'm just waiting for T2 to be released and someone can setup a nice fast T2 AT server!!

I'm into that, the worst thing with Tribes is getting on a server on a team of 12 people or so all playing deathmatch style, and then a team of like 5-6 just decimates you.

Never played Tribes, but have pre-ordered Tribes 2. I would like to be in it if that is alright.

I run a UT server that is damn fast most people ping less than 100 to it and it will be moved over to tribes 2 when it comes out. If you want you can ping it at 165.91.107.14 (this is not the actual server but it is right next to it)

BTW tell me what your ping is so I can determine if it will be a good server since this clan will probably be international.

arod: Between 75 and 100. Not too bad though my cable has been sucking today (250+ pings in cs!). Good to know there is already one server that will be up.

I'm located in Upper Michigan so that's kinda far... close to Canada.

BTW my server is located in Texas, so if you are far away form texas ping it and report what you get. On my UT server people in Canada can get sub 100 pings.

I'm having problems registering in your forum. When I register it says that That name is allready used, but when I go to login, it says that there is nobody by that name....

This is a good start... We have a server or two, a forum, and Web Page space...

I just registered under my name and it worked.

BTW you have to enter the password twice and a valid email. But thats all thats required, although i recommed filling everything out.

Spook: if you still can't register reply and I will set it up for you.

UPDATE: Spook acording to what i see you are registered. Make sure your password and username are correct.

After playing Tribes 1 for a bit I realized it was kinda dumb but then I discovered Shifter. That mod owned. I didn't mind renegades either but I just setup a Shifter gamespy tab and that's all I played. Playing regular tribes (with those measly defense turrets, 3 clases, very little weapons, etc...) seemed dumb. Hopefully Tribes 2 will ahve more of the shifter/renegades-like additions but if not there will be mods out with them.

I wasn't big into mods... Its got to a point that you weren't fighting each other, you were fighting how fast the players on the other team could get out turrets and shields...

It was kind of dumb, why not just fight the computer...

laser turrets sucked... So Small and hard to find...
