Question for ya, on the later lifts I notice you carry the bar in a position further back, more over your neck. Do you worry about dropping and doing some serious damage?
The first lift is the Snatch, wide grip, one move to move the bar from floor to over head.
The second lift is the Clean and Jerk,
Clean, from floor to across shoulders
Jerk from shoulders to over head
Feet must come together before the refs say 'down' then you drop the bar.
You learn to take a small step backwards and let the bar go forwards and I started competing 12yrs ago when I was 15. I did 35/45 at my first comp

you build the strength and control to lift big weights. If you spent about 6-10hrs each week for most of 12yrs you'd lift a reasonable amount also. I did some stupid stuff and lost out on training through non lifting injuries

, gymnastics = 9months, knees from moutain boarding and kiting fails

. I never get hurt in the gym so I've had to cut down all of the other stuff.
