Depends entirely on the person. There are the strong independent women that are ashamed when they cry, and they absolutely hate anybody calling attention to it by physical contact. Leave them alone, they'll get through it and then appreciate that they weren't treated like a little girl (a friends' words, not mine). Then there's others that want to be comforted.

You can't apply a single rule to apply to all women... you just have to know them
