A co-worker of mine got in a very similar accident with his Genesis coupe. His estimate was right about the same.

About 2k or so for the rims\tires\alignment and other misc stuff? Just got off the phone with them... haven't even gotten it in onto the lift yet, but eyeballing it he didn't think there was any cause to total it out.

Yeah, he doesn't have the itemized list with him but off hand he said he recalls:

$840 for new front wheels and tires, $1,900 for new rack and pinion. He needed new control arms as well (figured probably $500), doesn't recall the exact price on them. Plus bumper, paint, and labor. That adds up in a hurry. Keep in mind you are payind dealer prices.

Sounds about right. I should just be on the hook for my deductible in any case, but glad to know he got off reasonably easy.
