Yes, thank you New York. For giving Alabama an economic boost.

Remington Arms Co. Chairman and CEO George Kollitides said today that Alabama's state motto — "We Dare Defend Our Rights" — "says it all," as he confirmed that the company will bring 2,000 jobs to Huntsville, Ala.

Remington employs more than 1,300 people in the Herkimer County village of Ilion in Upstate New York, where it has been making firearms since 1816. But the company has made it known its displeasure at New York's Safe Act, which restricts the sale, though not the manufacture, of assault weapons in New York.

So dumb. It really is. Stats show pistols are the real killers. And even so, limiting me or any other person to just 7 rounds (or whatever the law is in NY) isn't going to do jack shit.

I just had to register- lol- my MAGAZINES last Decemeber with the state of CT because they hold more than 10 rounds. The entire time I was filling out the form I was like, 0_o this is so insane.

And now that you are registered any thing from a visit to a psychologist to an altercation at the bar can be used to enter your home and confiscate anything the state deems illegal, if not now then certainly possible in the future.
