has Mo Vaughn joined the beer league yet?

can Burnitz K over 250 times?

IMO the Glavine signing wasnt a good move.

37 and 3 years commited, plus the 2nd half of last year he got lit like a goddamn torch.

As much as I am a Mets fan, I don't think this was the best of deals. Their hitting is still gonna be horrendous, and while yeah, it did look good on paper before last season, fact is, it prob. won't get much better this season. If anything, Mo at least looks like he might have a decent year.

I'm still wondering how much better off the Mets would've been if they had signed ARod. I"m sure they could've gotten him for ~$20mil/yr., which is roughly what Rey+Burnitz adds up to.

I like Glavine, but he has SUCKED in the playoffs lately. Especially this season against the Giants.

well this won the end of the off season for the mets

the mets are def. trying to get rid of rey and burnitz...

also we are gonna need to pick someone up for 3rd base as it seems unlikely now that we will resign alfonzo...

lol, if u can't beat em...

i'm surprised the mets havent signed every single free agent the braves have had so far this off season.

and u know what, i'd be mad because the mets organization would turn all the ex-braves into crap players like every other person on the team

the Mets already got hitting. The hitters were just sleeping or something last season. Although I don't like Glavine and he's too old, I'm glad they got some pitching cause that's what wins the game.

Let's go METS!!!!!

a little off topic, but speaking of NY, Let's go JETS!

Hmmm Glavine won't help that sinking ship. The players/managers are not the problem in that club. It is the upper mangament just like with the Cubs. I would be surpised if the Mets make 500 next season.

being a met fan i'm used to getting the second best of everything. the mets front office love to shop the flea markets and find bargains in the corner and dust them off.

i give up.

i spend $70 when i go to a game between the ticket, eating, drinks, getting there, and parking and they spend my money putting together a crap team. god forbid they spend 35 million on 3 average young pitchers or maybe even keep their good minor league players instead of trading them for has beens.

plus im an islander fan, so i get it from both ends. shoulda signed kasparitis
