Appreciate your bias - as like I said you take in the US's media.
Much of the rest of the world is trying to work with Cuba. So Castro imported nuclear weapons - 55 years ago the world was at war with Germany - do you see us sending back the VWs? No, we try and deal with the past without forgetting it.
The fact of the matter from my perspective (Indeed much of the world's perspective), is that the US is just too damn stubborn to admit that maybe they are over zealous with Cuba and instead of strangling the nation they should work with it.
I must agree with Dabanshee, at this stage late in the game for the US to say "oops, we screwd up, all embargos off" it would make them look in the wrong and so instead they continue to impose them.
I know that my honeymoon next April in Cuba will be nice
dabanshee Perhaps you more acurately recall the recent poll of natios in Nato who endorsed the US's embargo and those who don't? If I recall correctly only the US and Israel agreed that Cuba should continue to get screwed and the rest of the world was urging the states to let up.
